[Thanks to Dillon for sharing his favorite career resources list consisting of resources related to the business field.]

Business1. My college business instructor: pertaining to marketing and business administration (a little)

This resource is a business teacher at my college. He’s been teaching there for many years and heads up a student entrepeneurial club. This resource is a favorite because he was a marketing guy, knows the game and knows the people. He did it and has first hand experience.

2. Another college business instructor: pertaining to accounting

This resource is an accounting instructor at my college, and he’s been teaching there for 9 years, I believe. He has been an accountant for at least 20 years. He has his MBA in accounting and is considering a PhD. He has his CPA and passed it on his first try (only 10% of people do this). He is my favorite resource on accounting because he is extremely knowlegeable. He’s been doing it for many years and knows all the ins and outs of the job.

3. A corporate executive: pertaining to process development and business adminstration

This resource has been working in process development for at least 25 years, has a masters degree in business and has been the backbone of his company. He is my source when it comes to information regarding the career. His wealth of knowlege is unsurpassed in my opinion. He seems to have experrienced it all.

4. Another corporate executive: pertaining to process development and really to all careers actually.

This resource has been working for a pharmaceutical company for the last 10 years and has been the VP for the last 7 years. He has his PhD in biology and has written a couple of books on biology. The reason I put him as a favorite resource is because while his knowlege about each career maybe limited, he has a vast knowledge of the business environment and really can put things into perspective. He gives insights that are extremely helpful and can really open your mind on how to think about your career. Besides that, he’s really funny as well.

5. My college’s career/resource Center: pertaining to all careers

My college has an amazing career and resource center. If you can’t find what you’re looking for in there, odds are you can’t find it! The people in there are extremely helpful and provide some great insights. If they can’t help you, they can at least point you in the right direction. And that is the reason why they are one of my favorite resources. Not only can they tell you some great information about what you want to do, they can also guide you in the right direction when it comes to looking for some advice and research. I really don’t know what I’d do without them!
